KARHU

KARHU

Karhu is a brand with rich history and was founded in 1916. Back in the 1920s the Finnish runner athletes had the Olympic Games on lock winning pretty much all medals, all wearing Karhu. Later on in 1952, Karhu sold their “three stripes” design to a now legendary man called Adi Dassler, who came to establish a brand known as Adidas Originals. The Karhu engineers were also innovative pioneers in footwear technology, being the very first to design and release an air cushioned sneaker, a technology later on used by a another brand called Nike.
